Kerala Cafe (2009, Malayalam Cinema)

Kerala cafe - Cast and Crew
                     Trailer

I am not writing the crew list here because it is a big one, so only i have given the link to check it..
This movie is first of its kind to indian cinema, atleast to my knowledge. movie which has compilation of 10 short films by 10 directors. Just 14 mins to every director and what can they tell in that? what will they convey? we are people with different tastes, but here you will get all your tastes. Luckily i watched this movie in theatre, twice, in last year's trivandrum film festival. (today is the last day of this year's film festival and i dint go there to witness it).
in this 10 movies my favorite are Happy Journey, Bridge, Puram Kazchakal. these three short films really had taken its toll on me.
in Puram Kazchakal, Mamooty has proven what he is worth it. you have to watch it first time to know what it is and second time to see what expressions he has given at each instant. I would bow down to him.
Happy Journey and Bridge directors are wonderful addition to the cinema world.
3-iron - Trailer

Director - Kim Ki-duk
Producer - Kim Ki-duk
Writor   - Kim Ki-duk
Starring - Jae Hee
           Lee Seung-yeon
Music    - Slvian
Cinematographer - Seong-back Jang
Editor - Ki-duk Kim

in Kim-Ki-Duk's movies dialogues you can write it down in 1 or 2 A4 sheets, but the movie speaks for itself. He is one of the director who has understood the language of film, it is not to write lengthy dialgoues but to make people by just seeing. the deafening silence he creates makes all to watch it. I still rember, last year how i was standing in big line under the sun to watch his movie in Trivandrum Film Festival. year by year this man's movie has always taken its pride by being the plum for the film festival. I was really proud when i watched so many people waiting for this man's movie in the sun. he deserves it and never did disappoint the people.
this movie is a simple when where you cant tel if you are living in real or dream.

How much naturally we live can be known. the song that comes at the end of the movie is really good one, with subtitle if you watch it you will know its impact. the movie keeps me reminding always what i am and what i should be doing.

This movies is parent movie for DOR a hindhi movie, and i found many articles and posters. but this movie, which is so good and wonderful has got really nowhere out than Kerala or nearby states. Dor is a good movie, but it is not as good as its parent.
Meera Jasmine and Kavya Madhavan, the lead ladies of this movie have given a different meaning to this movie. The writer and the directors should be appreciated for not deviating anywhere out of the track.
when are we going to learn to do what we are best at?

He has shown a typical life of our lives in a 96 minutes movie with required pace and motion. Barcelona has done its part in the hands of the director and cinematographer. Penélope Cruz in this movie is simply awesome in this movie.

AVAL APPADITHAAN (1978) Tamil movie

Directed  - C. Rudhraiya
Starring   - Sripriya
                 Kamal Hassan
                 Rajnikanth

Music   Ilayaraja

Aval Appadithaan taken way back in 1978 portrays the life of women in this modern world. The director has had his complete script ready and has known what he want on the screen. Rajinikant and Kamalahasan could have still made more movies like this and been a nice example for the future instead of concentrating in climbing the stardom. Sripriya has done wonderful justice to her role. What do you think about women liberation? (watch the movie to know it. you get the movie subtitle too)

Music : Anada Modak
Editing : Amit Pawar
Art Direction : Nitin Chandrakant Desai
Casting : Nandu Madhav
              Vibhawari Deshpande
              Atharva Karve
              Mohit Ghokale

I have been love with movies from the day I first knew it. Media in all forms have been my favourite, but Movies took the precedence, I would just watch a movie without food, sleep or anything. I was crazy enough to watch 100 movies in a year, all in theatres, when only 80 movies released that year, such was my madness along with my friend. He took the film line, where as I became an engineer. But all these days i have not even thought about who would have bought this to India and made it one of the biggest industry which is used to loot everyone, until I was introduced to Dhundiraj Govind Phalke by Syatchi. This man dreamed about something and now we are all watching it being one of the integral part of country and its future, though, i dont think he would have thought of this industry being used like this. When a man has a partner who understands his dream and the man understanding her role and respects each other and not controlling her, then any dream is not too big to achieve.
Anyways, leaving that aside, this movie about our father of Indian Film industry, is one master piece made by a man with vision. The movie has such pace and such screenplay, you will not even know that movie has over so soon. I would recommend everyone to show their kids this movie, so from here on their movie taste gets developed and they atleast know what a movie is all about.

Natrang - Marathi (2010)

Director: Ravi Jadhav
Writers: Ravi Jadhav
             Dr.Anand Yadav
Music : Ajay
            Atul
Cinematography: Mahesh Limaye
Editing: Jayant Jathar
Casting : Atkul Kulkarni
              Sonalee Kulkarni
              Kishore Kadam

This is the second Marathi movie am watching. This movie has a simple storyline with practical screenplay. Even though we all tell that, we respect artists, we have to question ourselves asking what type of artists do we respect? Will you respect an artist like the leading role of this movie. What is that we expect of artists? just entertainment? Art is a powerful medium, it has all emotions, and art is born from person who has passion to live and not just to exist.

Mandi - Hindi(1983)

Starring : Shabana Azmi
               Naseerudin Shah
               Smita Patil

               Amrish Puri

I have heard about Shyam Benegal very recently, and have not watched any of his movies. Mandi, was the first of his movie that am watching. In 983, a man has made a movie with such intensity and such concern. But, people of my nation are people of my nation, they have proved what he had tried to portrait about future. Yet another movie which was just celebrated as movie.

Be With me (2005 Singapore movie)

Director : Eric Khoo
Writing  :  Theresa Poh Lin Chan (inspiration)
Eric Khoo and Kim Hoh Wong (screenplay)
Music    : Kevin Mathews and Christine Sham
Cinematography : Adrian Tan
Editing : Low Hwee-Ling
Art Direction : Shaun Koh

Yet another movie about love. The movie begins with hands typing on the type writer,
'Is true love there truly, my love?
yes, if your warm heart is.'

The movie ends with the hand tyiping on the type writer,
'Be with me, my beloved love,
that my smile may not fade'

It is about 4 loves that happens. It is a story inspired by Theres Poh Lin Chan's life. Simple movie, but gives great inspiration for people, when you feel gloomy. Somewhere i read that, you need great strength to win and with stand and you will need more to let things go. Theresa Poh Lin Chan has really made a mark, with her will power, Where there is a will there is a way.
Theresa Poh Lin Chan

At times it just needs things ti let go and wait patiently. Rest is Chaos, that happens to settled down with the best for all. When you feel love everything is fine, when you try finding meaning, n confining it with things you have known n told, then love never exists...

This weekend it was another good movie. This movie is about a Cello player who loses his job and then finally ends up in job at Encoffinment agency. The movie travels, over peoples departures, showing different emotions. It surely will give you a look about death. Even though you might be able to expect/judge some future scenes, but that is how it can/would be. Movies like this are must watch to know our life, i guess.

Beautiful, is a South korean movie releases in 2008, Produced and written by the famous Kim-Ki-Duk. It is movie revolving around a girl who is really gorgeous and beautiful. the word beautiful, how it takes toll on this gals lie is the movie about. For me it gave really a different view on the word 'Beautiful'.

I dont like to write spoilers, and also give a very high expectations on movie before you watch. So. just watch it and feel it in your own way.
